Welcome to Pelican Landing
A lush, tranquil community ideal for golfers and nature lovers alike
What sets Pelican Island apart from so many other Southeast Florida communities is its maturity. First developed in 1989, the beautiful, master-planned community of Pelican Landing sits on over 2,300 acres. Long ago built out, the fully realized foliage blankets the area in a wonderfully lush, green canopy.
Adjacent to Estero Bay on the Florida Gulf Coast, the area offers residents the best of both worlds - the convenience of a mainland setting with direct access to coastal pursuits. Without the inconvenience of construction or a steady stream of first-time buyers, the community is one where residents enjoy and appreciate what the area has become instead of looking ahead to what it will eventually be.
Beneath its lush, tropical canopy, Pelican Landing homes cater to a number of different lifestyles. Estate homes, attached and detached villas, cottages, and high- and low-rise condos are all on offer, each a spectacular residence for the fortunate buyer. In all, there are 49 neighborhoods across two phases - Pelican Landing and The Colony at Pelican Landing - and a tremendous amount of choice for deciding where to live.
What to Love
- Mature neighborhoods with direct access to the Gulf Coast
- Incredibly centralized location - 20 minutes to downtown Fort Myers, 20 minutes to downtown Naples
- Access to three stand-out golf courses, two of which are Tom Fazio designs
Local Lifestyle
Semi-secluded and serene, Pelican Landing epitomizes the best of Bonita Springs. It's close to everything - jobs, schools, shopping, and dining - yet very much independent and set apart from the more hectic elements of Southwest Florida. Those that live here are very well established, and though it's a popular area for second and third homes, a large contingent of permanent residents infuse the development with a strong sense of community.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Shopping and dining are a huge draw in this part of Florida, and thanks to Pelican Landing's amazing location, you can be a short drive from the best the area offers.
Things to Do
Pelican Landing takes advantage of its natural coastal setting. Most unique is the community's ownership of a 34-acre island in the Gulf of Mexico, which also includes a private beach accessible by residents via shuttle boat. The same Gulf access provides an abundance of kayak and paddleboard opportunities and the chance to get up close to several of Southwest Florida's aquatic preserves.
Golf is the other big draw at Pelican Landing, and with three 18-hole golf courses meandering throughout the community, it does not disappoint. Non-golfers will be pleased, too, as there are also 12 tennis courts, six pickleball courts, and a 4,400 square foot wellness center.
